About Drift American

Mustang Drift Parts Built From Real Experience

Drift American was built the same way most drift cars are—figured out the hard way. Founded in 2017, Drift American started with one goal:make Mustangs actually work as drift cars—and make the right parts easy to get.

No BS. No guesswork. Just parts that hold up when you're on limiter, mid-transition, and everything’s a blur.

Where It Started

Like a lot of people in drifting, we didn’t start with a perfect setup. A group of friends eager to learn, with a lot more time than patience or money.

We started with:

  • Wrong parts
  • Bad fitment
  • Trial-and-error installs
  • Plenty of frustration
  • And a lot of broken components

Back then, finding real info on drifting a Mustang—especially Foxbody and SN95 cars—was frustrating at best. The drift industry wasn’t built around these cars, and the Mustang aftermarket didn't care much for drifting.

So we started figuring it out ourselves with the help of some amazing people.

What worked.
What didn’t.
What failed under real abuse.

That process is what became Drift American.

Built for Mustang Drifting (Not Everything Else)

We’re not a general performance parts supplier—and that’s intentional.

We focus on Mustang drift and performance parts. That’s it.

Including:

  • Foxbody Mustang drift builds
  • SN95 / New Edge drift builds
  • S197 drift builds
  • S550 and S650 drift builds

If it doesn’t belong on a well-built Mustang, we don’t sell it.

    Track-Tested Parts Only

There’s a lot of parts out there that look good online!

That doesn’t mean they work when it matters.

At Drift American, our standard is simple:

If it hasn’t been proven on track, it doesn’t go on the site.

Everything we carry is based on:

    • Real-world use
    • Customer feedback
    • Track testing under drift conditions

    Real Experience > Internet Advice

We don’t just sell parts—we’ve run them.

From grassroots events to competitive driving, everything we recommend comes from hands-on experience with:

    • Mustang drift cars under real load
    • Actual failure points (we’ve seen plenty)
    • What holds up over time vs. what doesn’t

That’s why customers come to us when:

    • Parts don’t fit right
    • Setups don’t feel right
    • Or they’re tired of guessing

What Drift American Is Known For

Over time, Drift American has built a reputation in the Mustang drifting community for being straightforward and reliable.

    Proven Drift Parts for Mustangs

No filler products. No random catalog dumps. Just parts that make sense.

    Complete Drift Setups

From coilovers and angle kits to steering, brakes, and IRS components.

    Actually Useful Support

You’re not talking to a call center—you’re talking to people who understand your build.

    Grassroots Focus

We support real drivers, not just big-budget builds.

    Seen in the Wild

We’re not big on chasing “features”—our cars and parts speak for themselves.

    You’ll find Drift American:

    • At grassroots drift events across the U.S.
    • Sponsoring grassroots drifters and events
    • On customer builds pushing limits at local tracks
    • Across forums, Facebook groups, Instagram, and Reddit
    • On cars that actually get driven—not parked

Our exposure comes from drivers using our parts, not paid placements. (Other than the SEMA Show in 2022, but we won't do that again!)

    Growth & Milestones

    Since 2017, Drift American has:

    • Helped build drift Mustangs across every major generation
    • Expanded into a full lineup of Mustang drift parts
    • Earned repeat customers who trust our recommendations
    • Built a name through consistency—not hype

We didn’t scale by accident. We grew because the parts work.

    Where We’re Going

We’re not trying to be the biggest—we’re trying to be the most useful.

    Next steps for Drift American:

    • More in-house product development
    • Better solutions for common Mustang drift problems
    • Expanded support for drivers and builds
    • Continued focus on real-world performance

    Why Drift American Exists

At the end of the day, this isn’t complicated.

    Drift American exists because:

    • Mustang drifting needed better support
    • Good parts were hard to find
    • And most advice out there wasn’t coming from real experience

So we built what we wished existed, that's it, and that's all!

    Keep It Simple

    Build it right.
    Drive it hard.
    Fix what breaks.
    Repeat.

That's what Drift American is all about!
