Install Guide: NRG Hub + SRK-200 Quick Release + Steering Wheel
What You’ll Need:

Socket set (typically 19mm or 21mm for steering nut)

Allen keys (for 6-bolt hardware)
-
Torque wrench (recommended)
-
Blue Loctite
-
Flathead screwdriver
-
Wire crimpers (if wiring horn)
Before You Start:
-
Disconnect the battery (prevents airbag issues)
-
Make sure your wheels are straight
-
Take a picture of your factory wheel alignment (helps later)
Step 1: Remove Factory Steering Wheel
-
Pop off airbag or center cover
-
Disconnect airbag/horn wiring
-
Remove center nut (leave it threaded a few turns)
-
Pull wheel loose from splines
-
Remove nut + wheel completely
Tip: Leaving the nut on prevents smashing yourself in the face when it pops loose
Step 2: Install NRG Hub Adapter
-
Slide hub onto steering column splines
-
Make sure it is clocked straight
-
Route horn wire through hub
-
Reinstall center nut
-
Torque securely
Tip: If the hub isn’t straight now, your wheel won’t be straight later
Step 3: Install Quick Release (Back Half)
-
Place rear half of quick release onto hub
-
Line up bolt holes (6x70 pattern)
-
Apply blue Loctite to bolts
-
Tighten in a star pattern
Step 4: Wire the Horn (Optional)
-
Connect horn wire from hub → quick release contacts
-
Ensure solid connection
-
Test before final assembly
Note: Some setups require a ground wire to the hub
Step 5: Install Steering Wheel

Bolt steering wheel to front half of quick release
-
Use Loctite on bolts
-
Tighten evenly in a star pattern
Step 6: Final Assembly

Snap quick release together
-
Reconnect battery
-
Test:
-
Steering alignment
-
Horn function
-
Quick release lock
-

Wheel is straight while driving

No wobble or play

❌ Not using Loctite → bolts WILL loosen
