This weekend, everything comes to a head. The 2025 Formula Drift PRO Championship culminates in Round 8: Shoreline Showdown, in Long Beach. After Irwindale’s permanent closure, this is the first season in FD history where the final battle is not at the old “House of Drift."
All eyes are on the new street layout, that's never been run before! It should make for some exciting battles, as these drivers learn to run this track layout for the first time.

James Deane has locked up his 5th FD Championship, that has been built on mixing aggression with measured risk — racking up podiums, securing key wins, and maintaining his lead through the midseason rounds. Although there won't be a battle for the championship in Long Beach, it will still be a thrilling event.

Street Course, Shifted Expectations
The Shoreline Showdown layout runs along Shoreline Drive in Long Beach — a custom street course, not a typical permanent drift circuit. This means unforgiving walls, tight transitions, surface changes, and zero room for error. Judging on line, angle, proximity, and style will be the differentiator.
Unlike some stadium-style courses, street courses favor drivers who can adapt on the fly — those who can convert chaos into composure.

Friday (Oct 17): Practice, warm-up, and seeding runs open the doors.

Saturday (Oct 18): The Top 32 bracket kicks off and eventually the Top 16 battles begin. The trophy ceremony follows in the evening.
