Drift Colorado Round 5 | Colorado National Speedway | Erie, Colorado | October 1st, 2017
Fighting a wet/dry track surface, a loss of power steering/brakes, and had never drifted the track before the event, Scott Umbreit was able to fend off his competition and bring the #47 Innovative Auto/DriftAmerican.com Mustang Cobra home in the third place. Although the car wasn't up to par, Scott pushed it to the limits and was able to advance round after round, eventually losing to winner Josh Raub in his Nissan 240.
Scott was excited about getting his first career podium stating: "It's great to get a podium finish in my second season of drifting, and especially sweet at CNS, the place where I first decided I wanted to get into drifting." The third place finish secured Scott's fourth place overall in the 2017 Drift Colorado Singles Standings.
Congrats on a great 2017 season!
